The FC Amarillo Bombers, a member of the US Arena Pro Soccer League, has been busy since the day they announced their arrival in the community.

The FC Amarillo Bombers are announcing their jump to the M2 league associated with the Major Arena Soccer League. The M2 league went as far as asking the Bombers to host an extra game featuring a team from Mexico and our rivals from Wichita Falls, the Falls Town Flyers, on Sunday, January 5th. This gives our local soccer fans an opportunity to catch up to 8 professional soccer games. Season tickets are already available, and opportunities to be involved as a business community partner has commenced.

With this opportunity to join the MASL/M2 in league play, the USAPSL which was started and owned locally with teams here in Amarillo, as well as, Wichita Falls, Lubbock, and Odessa will dissolve as a league, but the league ownership was given the rights to host spring and summer tournament play throughout the Midwest states. The tournaments will be an exciting way to get even more fans and players involved. Starting as soon as April, tournaments featuring youth, women, amateur, and professionals will be announced. There has been Interest from across the nation and internationally to play in these tournaments that will be hosted in not only Amarillo but other markets such as Albuquerque, Wichita Falls, Wichita, and some expansion markets for the M2 for the 2021 season.

Co-Founder of the USAPSL Stephanie Tucker states, “We are truly excited about the opportunity to join a higher level of soccer for our teams in the former USAPSL. We created the league because during the times the M2 played we were not able to get dates. With our new partnership with the area youth facilities, we are going to be able to host games and join the M2. We are very excited about the opportunity to focus our efforts for the spring and summer to a championship tournament series of some type. This will allow us to bring in soccer players from all over to participate in something that has not yet been done. We are especially excited about the youth and women series.”

The Bombers are a locally owned professional sports team that focuses not only the professional side of the sport, but working with the area youth. With that said, we have partnered with two of the well-recognized youth programs and facilities to continue to offer soccer on a professional level and encourage the youth programs throughout the Texas Panhandle such as Kids Inc and the Netplex. With that said, the Bombers will open their inaugural season in MASL / M2 in Hereford, TX at the Caviness Sportsplex on Sunday, December 15th against the Falls Town Flyers at 4pm. The Bombers will host the Savage from Mexico in a back-to-back series on Saturday, 21st and Sunday 22nd. Bombers will host the Inferno at a YEAR END BASH on Sunday, December 29th at the Sportplex. Starting off the new year, the Bombers will start in a new location that is new to soccer. The Netplex is known throughout the Texas Panhandle for volleyball and basketball. The Bombers will introduce soccer to the facility not only on a professional level, but help promote to all levels starting with the youth. The Netplex will transform into indoor soccer arena with hockey style walls with glass and fans space from bleacher seating to private party zones that will create an intimate atmosphere for 1,600 fans. The Netplex will be created into more of an event including a kids’ area including bouncers and fun, vendor space for local businesses, food trucks, and much more. This is an undertaking but we hope by the first of the year, we will start play on Sunday, January 5th when we host the Savage from Mexico and our rivals from Wichita Falls. We will host the Austin Power team on Sunday, January 19th and then finish the regular season home games on a back to back series on February 29th against the famous Wichita Wings and Sunday, March 1st against the Colorado Rumble.
